In need of hope #WednesdayVerses

Things seem gloomy all around,

I don’t know where we are heading.

Hope was what kept us going,

The hopeĀ for a better tomorrow.

But now I wonder,

If we will even see another day.

Because all I see is humanity dying,

With something new each day.

I remember those days of old,

When the lines on my hands,

Told stories of what was in store,

For me and the life I was to live.

It was all supposed to be good,

A peaceful existence,

With only a little bit of sorrow,

Given in tiny doses.

But now there’s only pain and suffering,

And I look at my palm,

Searching for answers,

Wishing all those lines would tell me something.

Maybe we’ll make it through another day,

All we need is hope!

So I now join my hands and pray,

Hoping things will be better someday!

I used to look at the lines in my palm as well. The world that be envisaged at that point was so much different from what it is now. It just further proves how unpredictable life can be. Beautiful write up

  2. Soumya says:

Fingers crossed! I hope humanity saves the world this time.
