A dash of colour
Things may not be all bright and shiny, but then it doesn’t hurt to look at the brighter side of life. The world today isn’t what it used to be a few weeks ago. A pall of gloom has descended and everything has gone haywire. All of this because of a single virus! Life isn’t what is used to be. Things we once considered normal or routine, are now out of bounds. It is okay to feel sad about the whole situation. But yes, we have to do out bit by staying at home. With all the sadness that surrounds us, we must sometimes look at the bright side. Sometimes all it takes is a dash of colour!
I’m not the kind of person who stay inside the house all day. I need my dose of fresh air, sunshine and all the good things that nature has to offer. So after a week of not stepping outside the house, when I went to buy groceries, I couldn’t stop looking up at the trees and at the sky! With bursts of pink, yellow, purple and the occasional red, the trees were a wonderful sight! It cheered me up!
If you are in Bangalore or you have ever been in Bangalore, you would have definitely noticed these trees blooming with flowers at this time of the year. I always look forward to seeing these beautiful trees. What’s more, I’ve often stopped at places just to take pictures of these trees blooming with flowers.
I read an article about these flowers. You can read it here.
I hate the fact that I can’t see these wonderful flowers every day. But the only solace for me right now is the fact that there is a jamun tree right in front of my house. It is blooming now! It is pleasure to see to see the bees buzzing around the tree, the birds hopping from one branch to the next or the squirrel running around! Trust me watching this helps after long hours of staring at the computer with so many things to do!
So how is staying at home working for you? Do plants and trees bring you joy as well? Doesn’t a dash of colour make things a little better? Let me know!
