Dear Diary #WednesdayVerses
It is you that I tell every little thing,
For all I need is someone to just listen.
The pain that memories bring,
And all those tears, that make my eyes glisten.
Those words that remain unsaid,
All those feelings that remain unspoken,
The many thoughts in my head,
And all those times I feel broken.
All those things that I want to rant,
Those broken words that I try to string together,
All my wishes, that I wish someone could grant,
It is you know knows them all better.
And on days, when a zillion thoughts run in my head,
But I can’t seem to put them to words to find solace,
You give me strength, reminding of the good things I’ve said,
You use my own words from before to wrap me in a tight embrace.
Dear Diary, you know my good days from bad,
You know my secrets, both happy and sad.
Thanks for being the best friend I’ve ever had,
For your presence in my life, I’m glad.

I really admire how you come up with a poem every week. Reading diary is like looking at the past. It stores all our emotions and thoughts. I could easily relate to your words
Thank you Raj.
This brings back so many memories! 🙂
I used to write a diary daily for many many years. It helped me so much. Actually, since I started the blog I haven’t written a single diary entry. Wow! I need to get back to writing it soon.
I think we need an outlet for our thoughts – a diary or a blog to express how we feel right? Even I don’t maintain a diary regularly but there are times when I just need to write what I feel.
I used to, and still do, pour out my heart to my diary. It’s my best friend, my confidant and my secret-keeper.
Such a cute poem, Reema!
That is wonderful. Thank you 🙂
What a lovely ode to the diary! It’s the one place where all our truest emotions can come out in all their rawness and honesty!
Thank you Shinjini.
I’ve never kept a diary, but in the last few years, my Morning Pages have been a diary of sorts. I get the part about recording our feelings and having ‘someone to listen’ to our innermost thoughts.
It does help right, when you feel like there are too many things running in your head and you want to put it all out?
Journals can be so helpful in so many ways…! Love the way you have captured it!
Thank you so much Damyanti.
