The world doesn’t seem,
To be a safe place anymore.
There’s bloodshed and tears,
Lives lost everyday,
Innocent blood shed,
For reasons,
That do not make any sense.
There’s no value,
For the lives that are lost.
There’s no sorrow,
For the misery that is caused.
There’s only selfishness,
And causes that are unjust and unfair.
What has happened to this world?
Why so much violence and hatred?
Where is Ubuntu,
That binds all people together?
The bond of love,
The bond that keeps humanity together?
Or have we ceased,
Being human?
Ubuntu : the belief in a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity
