Ruska #AtoZChallenge #NaPoWriMo

The crunching of leaves under my feet,
Brings me back to the present.
My mood is far from upbeat,
For I’m thinking about time that went.
I walk along the memory lane,
Thinking about my stories,
It comes along with a twinge of pain,
Because now they are only memories.
I wonder how things in life change,
Here today, gone tomorrow.
Though it may all seem strange,
That is how we grow.
I stare at the leaves under my feet,
And I look at the trees bereft of leaves.
But with the arrival of spring sweet,
In new life nature believes.
Like winter makes way for spring,
The old makes way for the new.
Nothing lasts forever,
For that’s the circle of life.
Ruska : autumn foliage, fall foliage (the process of leaves turning various shades of red, yellow, purple, and brown in the autumn)
Language : Finnish
I’m participating in the A to Z Challenge and the National Poetry Writing Month (NaPoWriMo) . I’m trying to weave poems around unusual words or words from other languages that are just beautiful.
I thought this was process and not just a word! Ruska, sounds so magical!
This is beautiful! loved it
