I stand surprised,

At the sight of you.

For I never thought,

That I’d see you again.

There are so many things,

That I want to tell you.

And I don’t know,

From where to begin.

I grope for the words,

Searching for them,

In every nook and cranny.

I struggle to call out your name,

For I can’t remember it now.

It is all at the tip of my tongue,

Yet it escapes me.

I don’t remember,

What was it that,

I wanted to say.

For what do you say,

When you meet again,

After a final goodbye?

Lethologica : the inability to remember a particular word or name

Language : English

Origin : Greek

I’m participating in the National Poetry Writing Month (NaPoWriMo) . I’m trying to weave poems each day around unusual words or words from other languages that are just beautiful.
