#WednesdayVerses : Anger

anger

Like the scorching heat of the summer sun,
Anger burns things down.
But it isn’t a battle won,
For it burns you along.

It flows within you,
Leaving you restless.
And you don’t know how it grew,
But in the end, it leaves you helpless!

A few words spoken,
Which weren’t supposed to be mean,
Now leave you broken,
More than you’ve ever been.

But often anger isn’t fury or rage,
It is the pain of betrayal and of the unexpected.
You’ll find it at every stage,
But the art of dealing with it, never perfected.

Beautifully captured Reema – it comes unexpectedly and course through me, leaving me drained at times and bitter at other times. Yet dealing with it is not easy and not many have perfected the art to.

Beautifully worded. Anger was my vice a long time ago, with time I have managed to get it under control.
