#WednesdayVerses : Life’s ways
Often when life seems to be going okay,
There’s a sudden jolt to spoil your calm.
When you think that tomorrow’s a good day,
Life sometimes gives you a face palm.
You don’t understand why it always happens this way,
You keep asking, “Why me?”,
But no answers you get, come what may,
And you accept things and let them be.
For life sometimes is like this my friend,
It sometimes catches you when you least expect!
Sometimes to its whims and fancies, you’ve to bend,
Life is never perfect!
It is hard to stay calm when things go wrong,
But to begin anew, some things you’ve to shed.
Rise up and be strong,
Look always at the road ahead!
A little backstory :
This is the sight I saw this morning. I woke up feeling low from the past few days and I kind of felt that this tree was trying to say something to me.
As part of our resolution to write more poetry in 2018, Vinay and I have started this weekly prompt which we’ve decided to call as Wednesday Verses. Each Wednesday, we’ll be writing a poem based on the prompt of the week, and sharing a linky. We invite you all to join us with your own poems on the prompt. Write on your blogs, and link up with #WednesdayVerses. Please add your post links to the linky only if you have written for the prompt. We are happy to have you rhyme with us.
Prompt for #WednesdayVerses 5 is “Calm”
