#WednesdayVerses : Colours of life
When life seems to be dull and grey,
When nothing seems to be going right,
Will you just stay,
Looking at life in black and white?
Will you wait for someone,
To add colour to your life?
Or will you be the one,
Who’ll make it alright?
Spread a smile,
Wipe a tear.
Walk an extra mile,
Live without a fear.
For it is your choice to make,
Your life a beautiful rainbow.
Sunshine and rain, both you must take,
Because that’s how you’ll grow.

As part of our resolution to write more poetry in 2018, Vinay and I have started this weekly prompt which we’ve decided to call as Wednesday Verses. Each Wednesday, we’ll be writing a poem based on the prompt of the week, and sharing a linky. We invite you all to join us with your own poems on the prompt. Write on your blogs, and link up with #WednesdayVerses. Please add your post links to the linky only if you have written for the prompt. We are happy to have you rhyme with us.
Prompt #8 is “Colours”
So much grey where I live in the winter. But the last two days were sunny. Normally, I have to add my own color to the world. Hurry, spring!
Hope spring arrive soon!
Yes, I would much rather make my own rainbows than wait for someone to come and wipe away the gloom!
Beautifully penned, Reema!
Thank you Shilpa 🙂
What a beautiful poem. Like Alana, my winter world is very gray. I am happy to add color by making paintings. Art does add so much color to life.
Thank you! It is so good to do something that brings colour to your life.
You’ve really come a long way as a writer and poet Reema. Great going!
Thank you for this initiative. Glad to be a part of this week’s #WednesdayVerses.
Cheers,
CRD
Thank you so much 🙂
Lovely poem, Reema. Sometimes we need our own rainbows and at others we can share a shade with the rest!!
Thank you 🙂
Beautifully penned, Reema. We ought to make our own rainbow and face the sunshine and rain with grace and courage. Lovely verses, Reema. I have been wanting to join you and Vinay for Wednesday Verses but kept missing. Will definitely write and link up this week. 🙂
