High above, almost reaching the skies,
I stand alone.
With every sunset and sunrise,
I think about how I have grown.
Standing up for yourself is never easy,
Especially when you stand alone.
There will be times when you feel uneasy,
And you realize that’s how you have grown.
Winds of change may blow,
And you will have to sway.
But if your roots are firm you’ll know,
That some day will be your day!
