Dusk till dawn
I walk towards the lake as the sky breaks into colours of dusk. I stand mesmerized yet again. Memories of you come rushing to my mind – of the day we met, the day you knelt down with the ring. We’d spent so many nights here, watching the lovely skies from dusk till dawn. Though I was scared of darkness, your presence gave me courage.
But then you left. Suddenly.
I still come here to see you in the twinkling stars, to feel you in the first rays of the rising sun for this is all I have of you.

I am taking part in The Write Tribe Problogger October 2017 Blogging Challenge
Prompt for today is : Put your iPOd on shuffle/turn on the radio to your favourite station – write a post using the song as your prompt.
The song that came up was “Dusk till Dawn” and hence the post.
Nice post! Surprisingly this song is in top of my playlist this week.
Lovely snapshot of a feeling
Beautiful conclusion 🙂
Beautiful picture, and words, too! The poignancy at the end …why does life have to have sad endings?
A very poignant piece and interesting take on the prompt.
Dear Reema,
It sounds like he came to a tragic end. Lovely ending lines.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Lovely piece.
Oh no! That’s a sad one 🙁 loved how you penned this in such few words and the right emotions.
loved it. especially these lines ” to feel you in the first rays of the rising sun”.
Very apt for the photo prompt. It’s difficult to forget loved ones even when they leave this world.
Oh the yearning! Love the song, and very apt post indeed, for the song. Lovely 🙂
Sad, but she at least enjoys her memories of their good times. Wonderful take on the prompt.
Oh such a sad story.
Did he just leave or did he come to a bad end? Foul play perhaps?
That’s sad. Sometimes all we have is memories to live on.
Such a poignant tale! Life can be cruel at times. How beautifully have you woven the words to portray the emotions, Reema. Loved it.
