Love, Reema
My dear,
If you are reading this, then I’m sure that not everything is alright. There may be a thousand things bothering you. But I don’t know which one of them it is. I may not be able to give a solution to the things bothering you, but yes, I’m here to help you.
The more you think about your troubles, the more they keep troubling you. But I can understand that you can’t stop thinking about them. Life is such. Life offers us moments of joy and also sadness. But most of the times, we tend to focus on the negative rather than focusing on things going right. And that is why we are often sad instead of being happy.
You find what you look for. So if its the negative that you are focusing on, you will only keep thinking about the things not going right. But that is not the way to go. Learn to appreciate the things going right and then you will feel a lot better.
There are times when you will feel lonely, angry and irritated with the entire world. But before you do anything else, sit down, calm down and take a deep breath and put out all the anger that is boiling within. Once your mind is clear of the worries bothering you, you’ll know how to deal with the problems.
Everyone has problems of a certain kind. But with every problem there can be one solution and this solution is the known solution. Often we are so busy chasing the known solution, that we forget to see an easier solution! There will always be problems and to each problem there will be solutions- sometimes one, sometimes many. But you can’t give up! You got to get up and fight no matter how many times life tries to pull you down. Cry if you must, but then wipe those tears away and keep fighting.
If you are surrounded by darkness its you who must bring light. Either find light or be the light. When everything is going wrong, find that something that is going right or if you can’t find anything, do something right! You can do what you want to do, but you have to try hard enough.
Follow your dreams, do what you love, give your best to what you do and keep smiling! Most importantly, don’t forget to love yourself!
Love,
Reema
This letter is a modified version of the letter that I’d written to myself a few years ago. I wrote that letter to cheer myself and motivate myself. When today’s prompt was a letter, I couldn’t help but post this one.
I am taking part in The Write Tribe Festival of Words #6.
The prompt for Day 5 is Write a letter
This is indeed a motivating letter. Do not shy away from dreaming- it’s an important message.
A great letter. I loved the message of dont be so busy chasing the known solutions to forget to see the easier ones… Brilliant!!!
This is a brilliant letter. One can find motivation in such small things. It takes courage and true self realization to write something like that.

A letter to yourself is always a good idea.
A lovely letter. Practising gratitude and thankfulness, will indeed make us happier, and more content.
A beautiful letter Reema. No one knows us better than we ourselves. It is necessary to reiterate self-faith and self-love.
What a lovely letter of affirmation.
What an inspiring letter. Loved every word!
What a beautiful letter to write yourself! I really like this idea. I may have to do this too. Cheer! #writebravely
If this is the letter you wrote to yourself a few years back, then I believe you must be in much much better circumstances at present. What I can see from your posts is you are doing quite well in life living on your own, working and at the same pursuing your passion and writing meaningful poetry. Of course, you have been the light for yourself. Love yourself, always. And, smile 🙂
Heart warming letter it was. Great idea to write a self compassion letter to oneself.
You’ve shared such a fundamental and simple solution Reema. A lovely letter, a positive thought, and lots of warmth filled in this post 🙂
