A piece of art
Today I’ve the pleasure of hosting the wonderful poet Ashwini Dodani on my blog. He is a Brand Strategist based out of Mumbai, India. He’s been writing poetry since the age of 20 and considers words as a release. Savoir Faire, his first poetry book, features poems from his collection over years and is somewhere related to his own experiences and thoughts. You can read my review of his book here.
From the early days of realizing your passion,
How it takes over your bloodstream,
The fire, ice and engulfing breeze,
It doesn’t let you sleep, It doesn’t let you sleep.
Every person who meets your goal,
Appreciates you even a little more,
Becomes your friend, becomes your soul,
They make you better once and for all.
But there will be people who won’t value your work,
They will forget, misplace and wouldn’t care even,
Keep your heart up and forgive their sin,
You are an artist, you are akin.
Keep bleeding your forests along,
Find the animal which keeps you strong,
Someday someone will make you fly,
Till then build your wings and embrace your scars.
Lovely poem and keen points to remember!
I’m impressed! I didn’t know Ashwani is a published poet. He once accompanied me on a BLogadda ride in the TATA Bolt. He came across as a sensitive boy but I didn’t know he was so talented Thanks for this interview

Beautiful. How do people even write poetry? Brilliant.
Wonderful, inspiring words. I also have the same question as Sheethal – how do people write poetry, and then I know you are there too 🙂
