Book review : The Fragrance of True Love by Roma Gupta Sinha

Priyam, an avid writer, is a girl who is haunted by her traumatic past but is determined to stay positive and works extremely hard to give herself and her family a happy and comfortable life. However, she is a lone traveller in her journey and she likes it that way. She has built strong walls around herself so that none can hurt her bruised heart ever again. This is a beautiful love story which begins when Priyam and Meer are in college. It takes you a journey down the memory lane, back to those college days. Priyam and Meer are together always throughout college – be it in attending classes or even representing their college in intercollegiate events. But when college is over, it isn’t as easy to be together as it was before. Distance they say makes the heart grow fonder but will this distance break their relationship?Only time will tell.

The story is beautifully narrated. The emotions, the turmoil are well depicted in the book. Each of the chapters ends in such a way as make you want to know what happens next. It isn’t just a boy meets girl and they live happily ever after. There are difficult times and there are a lot of happy moments.
