Month in rewind: October 2016
Yes, this is year is actually flying! It is November already! So what was October all about for me? It was about sickness and health and yes lots of writing and reading!
If ย there is one thing that I am not happy about in 2016, it has to be my health. I’ve been falling ill a lot of times this year and yes, October started with me falling ill too! Since I didn’t get better after 3 days of rest and medication, I had to travel home. I had to take leave and I was at home for over a week recovering from illness. It is not that I don’t take care of my health- I eat all the fruits and vegetables, sleep, do some form of physical activity! But why do I keep falling ill so frequently is something that is still a mystery to me!
While all of this falling ill business happened, I made another decision- to take up the Ultimate Blog Challenge. Sounds crazy,eh? Yes that is me! Earlier I’d decided that I would blog less frequently in October because I wanted to catch up on my reading. But when October 1st came I just went to the website, signed up and posted a blog post. And yes I successfully completed the Ultimate Blog Challenge yet again! Though I’ve done it before it wasn’t easy. I had my health issues, WiFi problems, Writer’s block and not to forget time constraints. I hadn’t planned for this challenge in advance. Though my posts went live everyday at 12 am, they were mostly all finished just 5-10 minutes before that ๐ ย But one thing that this month taught me was that if I made up my mind to do something I would do it no matter what!
One of the good things about October was the little blogger meet that we had! Four of us bloggers met at a little Cafe and ended up chatting almost the whole afternoon. It was nice meeting Ramya, Deepa and Shubha. And thanks to this plan I finally got to meet my bestie Ramya after a long gap! And yes on the same day I ended up making a video of me singing “Love Story” just because I felt like it
As for reading during October, I read more than September! My stay at home while I was sick helped me as I found some time to read. And thanks to that I am back on track in my Goodreads Reading Challenge for this year. I’ve stocked up on the books to read to complete the challenge already thanks to some of the vouchers that I got. Also received a lovely little journal and bookmark from Blog Chatter for being a part of #MyFriendAlexa Campaign and for being the Blog Star for a week respectively. I’m still thinking how to use it creatively. Suggestions are welcome.
So except for all those headaches, coughs, sneezes, medicines and blood tests, October was okay. Wait, minus all of that October was good!
So how did October treat you? Let me know in the comments below.

Please take care Reema… Health comes first
Nice post Reema. Yes, October was almost same for me in terms of health, throat infection all the time, medicines, precautions during festive season which was hardly impossible to achieve but had to do it. No blogging at all as lot of things kept me busy everytime at home. Hope you’re doing better now and always take good care of your health. Btw, I’m jealous of your bloggers’ meet…hope to have one soon here in Delhi.
