What blogging taught me

blogging, lessons

Not so long ago, I began a blog,
For the words were too many to just stay in my head.
I was scared that my brain they’d clog,
And the blogging path I decided to tread.

Sometimes I wrote my heart out,
Sometimes the words made no sense.
And at times all I did was just shout,
Not caring about grammar, spellings or tense!

There were times when I’d write a post or two,
And then disappear for days together,
But then I learned that regularity is important too,
In blogging as well as in life in any weather.

And then I realized if I wanted to make myself heard,
It was important that I wrote from my heart,
For I didn’t want to be one among the herd,
I wanted to stand apart!

Just like we need friends in school or workplace,
We must have friends in the blogging world too,
For it is easy to get lost in the large space,
It is the community that helps you through!

While you blog, there is so much to learn each day,
At times, reading is more important than writing!
But don’t forget to have fun on the way,
Add some challenges to make the journey exciting!
