Trust
Trust is sometimes that leap of faith,
Which sometimes you have to take.
You don’t know what you are getting into,
But that first decision you have to make.
Trust is walking in the dark,
Thinking that you will see the light.
It is only when you cross the final mark,
Will you know if you were right.
Trust is fragile, handle with care,
One slip and it easily breaks,
And then it is hard to repair,
Because the whole foundation shakes.
If you are lucky, the wounds may heal,
But the scars will still remain.
It is trust, my friend that can make or break the deal,
Without which all your efforts will be in vain.

Trust is so important, sometimes its also important to keep trust in yourself. Beautiful lines Reema
It’s a beautiful poem!!
I take loyalty and trust very seriously. It’s also a deal breaker for me
Once broken may be mended ,but the cracks is always there.I only make relationships with people who keep their words.
Love how you think.
Trust is the most fragile thing. I’ve never been able to completely go back to believing someone once they’ve shattered my trust. It takes a lot of forgiveness, one I am not sure I’m capable of.
Lyricism in this piece is outsanding, Reema.
Trust, though so fragile, is so powerful, isn’t it? How beautifully you described it!
That’s true. Trust is the basis of all relationships and is more important than even love … you trust the car you drive in even if you don’t love it isn’t it ?
Trust. Such an important, yet fragile thing. Once broken, no matter how many times we try to stick it together, doesn’t work.
Nailed it. Trust rises above everything and matters more than anything else.
But the scars still remain- Agree completely! I also wrote about Trust few days ago- http://kreativemommy.com/friendship-and-trust/
I hear so many stories of trust being broken between two persons, be that be some close relationship as well. The word trust come with a tagline – Handle with care, is what I believe in.
A nice poem, Reema. 🙂
The role and importance of trust in all your engagement efforts cannot be under-estimated or under-valued. Without a purposeful and consistent effort to foster trust and build strong relationships at every step of the way, even the best-designed and thoughtful engagement processes will almost certainly either fail or fall far short of the success you seek to achieve.
