Be the bridge

sunset bridge journey

Yesterday is long over,
Tomorrow has not yet arrived!
And today won’t last forever!

In sadness you may have lived,
And happiness is what you seek,
Bridge the gap by seizing this moment so prized.

With failing strength you may feel weak,
And your dream may begin to fade away.
But keep hope, if you want to reach the peak.

For a better tomorrow you may pray,
But of what use is it,
If you don’t make the best of today?

It is always easy to quit,
To say that it was too tough!
But why not trying doing your bit?

The journey may be rough,
The destination may seem too far.
And you may feel hope is not enough.

But you have to be your own guiding star,
To build all those bridges between what you want to be,
And who you are!

  1. Beautifully done. #LoveandInk

  2. Ah! I guess between the past and the future, we truly forget to live in the present. And it is truly the bridge to happiness 🙂

  3. I honestly did not notice that the rhyme scheme continued to the next paragraph (B going to 2nd, C to third).. brilliantly done and with a message I truly believe in, even if I myself struggle to follow it.
