#AtoZChallenge : To my Soul Sister

Dear Soul Sister,
Among the many people I know, there are a lot of people whom
I am close with. But there is that one person that you definitely are close to.
But trusting people in the present day world is not easy. At the same time it
is difficult not to have someone whom you can trust. From the time that I was a
little girl, I always wished I had a sister. But I don’t. Or wait, maybe I did
have and I do have. You. My soul sister.
While I was in school I had my bunch of friends. We would
share food, we would share our school notes in case one of us skipped class and
most importantly we would share some secrets. As a child, things were pretty
much okay so there was no particular need of having one exclusive friend. But
as I grew up things changed and maybe I needed someone with whom I could share
anything and everything, no holding back.
“It so doesn’t matter who likes us.. We like us”
It is so true, isn’t it? When we first met we were complete
strangers. But something within me told me that I could trust you and that soon
we would become friends. And that did happen. Very soon we became the best of
friends. Whatever it was, whether joy or sorrow I could share it with you. When
in pain you were there to console me. When I was happy you were there to share
my joy. When I just wanted to talk about something or anything, I knew that you
would always have a patient ear. There were no secrets between us and when one
of us heard a secret, we knew that we could share it with each other and that
was okay. When we started talking, we went on forever. There were no awkward
pauses because there was dearth of topics to speak about. And when I had a bad
day, I knew that day would be better if I just spoke to.
Time passed by and have things changed? May be we have grown
up, may be the things that we talk about make more sense now. But sometimes I
feel maybe we don’t talk as much as we used to. Have we become less close?
Maybe we have become more mature. But yes we always have each other when we
need each other. That much I can vouch for. And not to forget we can still talk
like crazy with each other.
All I wish is for us to stay in touch always no matter how
far away we are from each other. For some things, no one can replace the soul
sister. I am glad that I have you. You know who you are. Thanks for being
there.
Love,
Reema

  4. I wish I had a friend like this, a soul sister!
As we grow older, it becomes difficult to stay in touch, and then we make more friends. But I'm sure your soul sister would be there for you always! Just a little effort and time, and it will be like the old days! 🙂

I have always believed that we have more than one soul mate. I read somewhere that in every life our soul sort of splits and takes new forms.. so there are some people we have an inexplicable connection with coz they have part of our souls . do you believe in that too?
