Will you look back on the time that we spent together?
Or will I be forgotten before the break of the next dawn?
Will you remember the things I said?
Will you look back on the memories that we shared?
Or will the thoughts about me never come to your head?
Will you think of me as the one who was there for you?
Will you miss me and the smiles that we shared?
Or will you think of me as the one whom you never knew?
Tell me, will I be remembered if I am gone?
Will everything around you remind you of me?
Or will you be glad that I am gone?

We all want to be remembered. Too many of us are ignored, or forgotten, in old age. It's a sad thing.
