Wish I’d be a child again

There are times when I remember the days of my childhood,
And to go back there I wish I could.
A flurry of emotions I go through,
I recall those years through which I grew.
Those times when what I wanted I did,
And the truth I never hid.
Hidden I’d remain behind mom,
When I’d know that things could go wrong.
Those were the days when friendships ran deep,
The promises we made we’d always keep.
I am tired of this life’s race,
I wish I’d be a baby once again lost in mom’s embrace.
I wish those days could last forever,
But I can never go back, never ever!

  1. Actually, I quite like being an adult 😛 I miss parts of my childhood but adulthood suits me better B)
