This too shall pass

Life’s journey has many bends,
There are moments of joy and sorrow,
You never know when one ends,
But we all wish for a better morrow.
When I look back into my life,
I smile thinking about the beautiful memories,
Moments of sorrow were also rife,
But both the black and white keys make life’s melodies.
There were times I wished I could just disappear,
Sometimes I felt that I was the luckiest person ever.
At times I longed for someone who could always be near,
Then there were days when the skies of my life were blue and all clear.
As the years passed by,
I grew up to be a better me.
Sometimes I cried, sometimes I gave another try,
From the shackles of self doubt I set myself free.
What matters the most to me are the lessons learned,
The best ones, my friend,  are always from life’s class.
You never know when life has its tables turned,
Always tell yourself, “This too shall pass”.

Ah, I always say "This Too Shall Pass" as well. That is one of my favorite sayings, and it is so very true. Isn't it great to look back and see that as time has gone on you have become a better you!

Reminds me of the George Harrison song "All Things Must Pass". Get poem that really makes you think of life and all there is.

How wonderful to feel you have learned much from life's lessons and become a better self. Couldn't wish for more really.
