The Chopsticks!

Copyright: Mary Gail Stratford
I was bored of staying alone in my little apartment. I
decided to go to the Chinese Restaurant down the street for dinner. My troubles
started when the waiter brought the noodles that I had ordered. I’d to eat with
chopsticks, not a fork and I was terrible at it. I’d already spilled a lot of
it on my dress and as I was trying to ensure that more food went into my mouth rather
than on my dress, I heard a familiar voice saying, “You still have trouble with
the chopsticks, don’t you?”It was him! My long lost love!

Isn't that always the way? I want to know how the story ended!

I agree with Cindy, you need to write another post on this. 🙂

  3. I like how you mixed two stories here- the chopstick difficulty and the love life 😉

I have to say my chop stick abilities have not improved with age 🙁

  5. What a delightful story – even if she is wearing the menu. Very clever and that's when people run into someone they would rather impress. Poor girl, I hope she gets a second chance at love with "him." Great story! Nan 🙂

What a fun story! I could relate about the chopsticks. I liked the ending line where the long lost love shows up. So then what happened?

Reema, My first comment disappeared, so here's a second one: Good and well-written story. If he loves her, a little spilled food won't matter. 🙂 —Susan
