Why?

Why worry about tomorrow when we’ve got to leave some day?

Why cry about yesterday when it isn’t coming back come what may?
Why wait for tomorrow for the things that can be done today?
Why hold back tears when you feel like crying?
Why give up when you can keep trying?
Why keep to yourself the things you feel like sharing?
Why walk the paths that you don’t want to tread?
Why are those feelings for someone special still left unsaid?
Why not try to do the things you dread?
Why keep waiting for the perfect time?
Why be afraid of life’s uphill climb?
Why not enjoy each moment this journey sublime?

  1. Love this! Very meaningful. You're very talented! 🙂

  2. Beautiful. And well-said…..enjoy the moment. Stewing over what is past is not going to help move you forward into a brighter, better future.

  3. Good points, well written. I admire those of you who write poetry. I attempt it, doubt I'd post any of mine. Although, if I pay attention to the last stanza, maybe next poem attempt will be posted. I teach against perfection when giving my quilt classes on improv quilt tops.

Hi, thank you visiting my blog and for reading. Well go ahead and post your poem. When I started writing poems they weren't great but I've been improving.

I love the look and feel of your site! The cursive title font, the clouds, grass, and your poem. I felt like I could be out there in the summer just contemplating along with you. Thank you, Reem! Will come back and visit your blog again!

There are a lot of whys, for which the answer we don't know sometimes. That's another why. "Why we don't know?" but I agree with you on the last one. Why not? Let us do it. Good to see a happy poem. 🙂 Loved it.
