The midnight hunger pangs

He walked slowly to the kitchen, careful not to make any noise and he decided against switching on the lights as he didn’t want to wake them up. It was almost midnight and he was hungry as he had skipped dinner to protest against not getting the gift that he had asked for. He was feeling sad as he had not got the gift but also there was no sign of cake for his birthday and  then his toe hit the table and he let out a muffled scream. Suddenly he saw faint light coming from the dining table and as he walked towards it the “Happy birthday” song broke the silence of the night. The lights were turned on and his parents rushed to the kitchen to wish him with hugs, a big cake and the new smartphone that he had asked for which was still playing the song!

  1. How cute! It's funny how you mention midnight hunger pangs though because last night at midnight I was eating some nori (definitely not cake, lol) and thought to myself, I wonder what other people eat for a midnight snack! LOL!

  2. I've not had a Midnight Feast for ages, but considering that I go to bed after midnight, I probably have. expect instead of cake mine probably consist of junk food (kebabs and crisps).

Ahh the fun of having a midnight snack. Those college days when Maggi (wasn't banned at that time :P) was the best 2am snack of all :D.
