By the lakeside

Copyright: The Reclining Gentleman
I remember that day from two years ago when it had started.
It was my routine to sit down on the bench by the lakeside after a tiring day at
work. I had no friends in this city. That was when he came and my life changed.
Before I could confess my love for him, he told me that he was going to live in
a faraway city as he had been promoted. This is our last meeting at the spot
where we first met. He has taken me by surprise as he is kneeling with a ring
in hand.
