Datsuzoku #AtoZChallenge #NaPoWriMo
Days come and go,
And life keeps going on.
I wake up each day,
And live my life of routine.
Each day seems just the same,
I go about living life like a machine.
How I wish I could wake up,
And take each day at my own pace.
I need an escape from routine,
A place where I can be me.
I need time to breathe,
To savour each moment as it comes.
May be I’d walk by a beach,
Or curl up in bed,
And read a book all day long.
With an endless list,
Of things to do each day,
I crave for a break, an escape!
An escape from routine,
An escape from being a machine!
Datsuzoku : escape from the daily routine
Language : Japanese
I’m participating in the A to Z Challenge and the National Poetry Writing Month (NaPoWriMo) . I’m trying to weave poems around unusual words or words from other languages that have no substitutes in English.
An escape from daily routine is what all of us crave. Just a day sans responsibility not doing anything or reading, perhaps at the beach is how I would love to spend it.
Yes, how I wish we could do that more often!
We are all there. I read something today. The universe is at its own pace. It is we who are rushing through life. The universe is in no hurry.
I agree! We are living a life where we want a lot of things done in a short time! Hence the troubles.
Indeed, we want to escape from routine, to be free like a child. The world has so much to offer but we also have responsibilitys and fears.
A beautiful poetry. 🙂
Thank you!
I would also like to have some datsuzoku 🙂
Don’t we all? 😀
I think we all crave this for sure. I do it by reading or going out with friends for a lunch meeting. 🙂 Lovely verse, but I think that would be repeated every time I come here to your poetry. The difference is that I am also learning a new unusual word.
Oh yes! Reading during breaks is my escape too! Thank you for kind comment 🙂
Just what everyone wants! Love this idea of exploring new words from other languages, totally unique!
This is intereerkng Reema. And tough too. Rare foreign words and a poem around it!!
Good one!!
