Nurture love, not hate

We dream of the perfect place,

Where only happiness exists, not sorrow.

But when the reality we try to embrace,

We see no hope for a better tomorrow.

We are drowned in a world of misery,

For everyday there’s a fight, often a war.

We carry with us the burden of hatred,

Forgetting that we are all human after all.

We see tears, we hear cries of pain,

The humanity in us seems lost.

We think only of our gain,

But often at what cost?

Can we go back to being human,

Wiping away tears, spreading smiles?

If we could only nurture love instead of hate,

The world would be a happy place!
