#WednesdayVerses : Through storms of life

storms of life

Dark clouds gathered in the sky,
While storms were raging in my mind.
Tears had run dry,
Because life, I thought, hadn’t been kind.

And then into my life, you came,
As if by a quirk of fate.
You accepted my faults and failings all the same,
You made me feel great.

Slowly you’d become my happy place,
My sunshine on the darkest of days.
In your arms I found solace,
You were there for me always.

Now hand in hand as we walk,
Under one umbrella,
I know you’ll be there by my side,
Through all the storms of life.

#WednesdayVerses

As a part of our resolution to write more poetry in 2018, Vinay and I have started this weekly prompt which we’ve decided to call Wednesday Verses. Each Wednesday, we’ll be writing a poem based on the prompt of the week, and sharing a linky. We invite you all to join us with your own poems on the prompt. Write on your blogs, and link up with #WednesdayVerses. Please add your post links to the linky only if you have written for the prompt. We are happy to have you rhyme with us.

This time we have a picture prompt.

Prompt #19 is the first picture in this post.
