If only I could wake up each day with a smile,
Forgetting all the sorrows at least for a while.
If only I could stop worrying about the next day,
How better a day would be today!
If only I could bring a smile on someone’s face,
It would be the best of my days.
If only I could tell someone all that I feel,
A lot of wounds would just heal.
If only I could find someone who understood,
My burdens would seem lighter than they should.
If only I could fight my fears,
May be then there would be no place for tears.
If only I could wish all these things could be true,
If only I could begin life anew.
