Escape

escape

The drudgery of everyday pulls me down,
Each day when I wake up, all I want to do is run!
Run away from this place, this town,
To some place far, where I’ll have worries none!

Day after day doing the same thing,
Nothing new to look forward to each day is boring.
I want to wonder what tomorrow’s going to bring,
This world I want to go exploring!

I want to escape this thing called routine,
To read, to write, to roam, to sing and dance the way I want to!
I don’t want to regret about how life could have been,
I want to escape to a world that is brand new!

We all want to escape at some point of time in our life but as they say- hardest prison to escape is our mind 🙂

I feel we all feel this at one point of time or the other. I wonder though what it would be like, will freedom be all that we make it out to be, or will we still struggle through it.

  6. routine is good when you want to achieve something, but it becomes too monotonous, you need to break it at times.

Ah the drudgery of routine.. we all try and escape from it yet somewhere deep inside we do seek some sort of consistency. I guess that dichotomy defines my life.

I guess interesting conversations and happy dreams are two ways for me to escape .. your words was an interesting mix of both 🙂

  9. Oh how beautifully penned. This is a thought that occupies my mind at times. I want to escape into the clouds – am sure they are going to be bouncy and full of books and endless supply of chocs and lemonade and my fav chips 😉
