Wanderlust

Lost I am in living a life that is routine,

And each day is just the same.
Each day is like a repeated scene,
Walking with no aim!
I feel trapped, like in a cage,
And I feel suffocated!
I think it might just be a passing stage,
But now I think for too long I’ve waited.
I want to be set free,
And travel far and wide.
The world I want to see,
I want to go on an endless ride.
Things may tie me down,
But to places I go in my mind.
In this wanderlust, I’ll drown,
The direction to live my life, I now find!

  1. Wanderlust is an unbridled emotion! A desire we all harbor but only a few pursue!
Your words have pursued it beautifully. I absolutely love the rhyme 🙂

The irresistible and overwhelming feeling to join nature, fresh air and high mountains by hiking or climbing.
I feel Wanderlust, I have to leave this urban surrounding.

Yes, some days are like that for me too, when I go crazy with yearning to break away and just simply roam free! Ahh…can we ever do that? Loved your wanderlust pangs!
