Living a dream

I looked at her sleeping peacefully by my side gently
pushing aside the strands of hair that covered her face. She was smiling in her
sleep. And I smiled looking at her. May be she was lost in the world of her
dreams. I went back in time. “In your dreams!”, she’d said when I first proposed
to her. I was dejected but I didn’t give up. I knew she had wounds that were
yet to heal and I gave her the time she needed. And now after all these years,
I was living a dream. She had said yes!
