Like a flower #WednesdayVerses

Like a flower

Like a flower,

Which grew each day,

From a bud,

Blooming where it was planted,

Can I choose to grow each day?

Spreading the fragrance of joy,

Bringing a smile on people’s faces,

Adding a splash of colour to mundane things,

Like a flower,

Can I add beauty to the lives of people around?

Swaying gently in the wind,

Not worrying about things that aren’t worth,

Keeping my head held high,

Can I choose to rise above the dirt,

That brings me down?

Like a flower preserved,

Between the pages of a book,

Delicate, but carrying along,

A whiff of nostalgia,

Can I bring back memories?
