One day at a time

Living in the moment,

Has become difficult.

For we find ourselves,

Always in a rush.

There’s somewhere,

That we always have to go.

There’s something,

That we always have to do.

But what if we lived life,

One day at a time?

What if we did embrace,

Each moment with serenity?

Can we slow down and breathe,

And experience life by just being there?

Or are we busy chasing tomorrows,

Forgetting to live today?

Thats the true reflection of the life these days. We’ve become puppets at the hands of time, our own needs. Wish we could stop by every now and then to smell the daisies instead of rushing our lives in the speedy track.
    Wonderful verse Reema.

  2. Shilpa Garg says:

Well said. We are busy chasing our dreams and goals and have forgotten to live and savor life. This realization comes, but only too late. Lovely expression, Reema!

  3. Esha M Dutta says:

The constant rush to think ahead and plan the future that we lose sight of our present! Very well brought out in the poem, Reema.
