#WednesdayVerses : Lazy

lazy

Life runs past me faster than it should,
I try to catch up but fail miserably.
If there is one thing I wish could do,
I’d tell time to slow down a little.

For there are days when I feel like doing nothing,
While the clock ticks away without a care.
The sun may shine bright and it could be a beautiful day,
But I want to do nothing today!

I’m sure you’ll call that being lazy,
Or if I tell you my plan, you’d call me crazy.
But hey, wouldn’t it be wonderful,
If time could stop for a bit?

We could all be lazy for a while,
Relaxing a little for otherwise there’s no time.
I know you’ll tell me that I’m being lazy,
But I know secretly you wish my wish would be true!

#WednesdayVerses

We are back after the break in April for the A to Z Challenge. As a part of our resolution to write more poetry in 2018, Vinay and I have started this weekly prompt which we’ve decided to call as Wednesday Verses. Each Wednesday, we’ll be writing a poem based on the prompt of the week, and sharing a linky. We invite you all to join us with your own poems on the prompt. Write on your blogs, and link up with #WednesdayVerses. Please add your post links to the linky only if you have written for the prompt. We are happy to have you rhyme with us.

Prompt #13 is “Lazy

This males me long for a lazy Vacation even more. I guess we all need some lazy days, just to lie down and let our thoughts wander. Beautifully penned.

  2. Obsessivemom says:

Oh no no I don’t think you’re lazy at all. I think this is just a perfect way to be on some days at least.

  3. Lazy is one thing I just cannot be. I also hate people who are lazy! Come on, buck up and get things going!

Having said that, taking a break once in a while is totally okay. As long as you are not whiling away time and expecting others to do your work, it is fine.

  4. Rachna says:

Oh yes, I can do with lazy. Life’s been very hectic of late. I need a break.
