On a flight of dreams

Photo prompt: Melaine Greenwood
She never thought that this day would be possible. She had
struggled all along but now all those sacrifices seemed worth it. “Ma, make
yourself comfortable while I take my place in the cockpit”, said her daughter.
Tears welled up in her eyes. Her mind went back in time when her little girl
had said, “Ma, look there is an aeroplane in the sky. I want to fly one myself
when I grow up”. “It isn’t easy my child, especially not easy for girl”, she
had replied. “I promise that I’ll do whatever it takes” That promise had been
kept.

  1. Dear Reema,

Sweet story. I love it that the pilot is a daughter and not a son.

    Shalom,

That's beautiful and uplifting. What a proud moment for both, mother and daughter.
