The birthday surprise

The clock struck 12 and she looked at her cellphone with expectant eyes but there was no message or a call from him. It was her birthday and she wanted him to be the first one to wish her and so she chose not to reply to the other messages and didn’t pick up the other calls. It was almost 1 am and as she was thinking of going off to sleep sad and dejected, he called and before she could even say Hello, “Baby, I am in trouble and I need you to come to me immediately” he said and cut the call before she could respond. She was worried and when she rushed outside her house to go to his place, he was on his knees with a ring in hand and he said, ” Happy birthday sweetheart and sorry for wishing you late, but will you marry me?”. She was awestruck as this was the best birthday surprise ever and just ran to him and hugged him tight and said, “Of course, I will”.

  1. I love your story , has suspense at the beginning and wants one to read more to learn what happened at the end.

  2. Wow! What a story! Another Indie blogger with twisted endings…well, it seems that you all do that! 😉 Love the twist though, though I would have hated to be in her shoes during the day. 😉 <3
