Love at first sight!

As he came out of the airport, he hired a taxi and asked the driver to take him to the City Hospital. That call from his wife’s best friend still lingered in his mind for he didn’t know what he’d tell his parents as they were against a girl child being the first born in the family. Once he reached the hospital he entered the room where his wife and newborn were and his eyes fell on his little girl. Her innocent face suddenly gave him the strength to face his parents and make them understand. For she was his little princess, his bundle of joy and it was love at first sight!

Glad he found the strength to face his parents!

  3. Some cultures are so rigid on things obviously beyond human control. You did well with this prompt.

It is so sad that in many cultures, little girls are unwanted and even done away with, for without girls, there would be no boys. This was a great response to the prompt.

    God bless you,
    Cheryl

Thank you. And yeah, here in India in some cultures they believe that a girl child is a curse. A lot of girls are killed every year at birth and before birth.
